Intercessory prayer for the People & the Nation.
Location: Peace Memorial on the Gettysburg Battlefield. There will be a commemorative reading of President Lincoln’s reading of Proclamation 85, for the Nation to be in a day of humiliation, repentance, prayer and fasting. A prayer vigil of intercessory prayer will follow after the reading for our People and Nation. These prayers will be led by 4 individuals who will be speaking on behalf of our People & Nation.
This commemorative reading from President Lincoln will occur 161 years ago to the very date it was originally issued (September 26,1861).
From this exact location is where the battle of Gettysburg started on July 3, 1863.
