Operation Helo remains dedicated to supporting families in Western North Carolina as they recover from Hurricane Helene. To date, they’ve provided no less than 182 new campers to displaced families, ensuring they have a safe and temporary place to call home. The Winter Warmth Initiative has been implemented to keep families warm during winter by partnering with local businesses like Blossman Propane to provide propane refills, ensuring no family goes without heat. They are working to provide long-term solutions for rebuilding and strengthening the community. With allocated funding and partnerships with local contractors, they aim to provide building supplies and help with permanent housing for those in need.
